This monopoly called government
We the people, which people were they referring to when our constitution was written? The blue collar everyday, bust your ass America or the white collar elitist, monarchical group of slaveholders making the rules the rest of us must live by? Let's reason this for a moment, there was a time in the world when the king and his family lorded over his peasants. There was no outright laws, oh yes there were laws but if the king wanted something accomplished, who would stand in his way? The lands all belonged to the king, the money all belonged to the king, the people all belonged to the king. The typical peasant scraped by on whatever he could to keep his family fed and to hope for much more was ludicrous. I'm so glad I didn't live in those times, aren't you? Step forward now to the present. The government buys up business manufactures ways to control business and steps on whomever might want to stand in there way. Maybe the problem though is the simple fact that our government is deaf. Tone deaf to be more appropriate. Maybe it's just the average, everyday Joe Blow they can't hear. Maybe they are simply deaf to the cries of reason. Maybe they just don't give a damn what anybody else wants. The government moves, adjusts, positions like a jujitsu black belt patiently waiting for that one general public mistake allowing them to slide around take our back and finally the great American dream is choked out by a monopoly called government.
